The function of buying project trade contracting services, materials, and equipment required for the project is a major responsibility.
It must be performed efficiently by experienced personnel who are trained in the process of administering significant contracts. Intercontinental Construction Engineering Consultancy LLP is proud of its reputation for maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness.
We expect our subcontractors to meet and maintain these same high standards. We also expect our subcontractors to be capable, in terms of both capacity and skill, of performing the work that they are awarded, and to do it safely.
All such factors are considered when the bidders’ list is developed. Before a Subcontractor is placed on the bid list, we require them to complete a customized AIA A305 Contractor’s Qualification Statement, we obtain Dun and Bradstreet Reports on each company, we aggressively check references, we periodically monitor their financial status, and we ascertain their reputation for integrity and competence within the construction community. We have long-term relationships with many of the subcontractors that are included on our bid lists and are familiar with their industry standing. These relationships benefit our clients as they translate into reliability, quality work, cooperation, and competitive pricing.
Diversity
In vetting our subcontractors and suppliers, we ask them to tell us about any particular skills, areas of expertise, or certifications they possess that might differentiate them from others in their field. We are constantly looking for vendors owned by members of groups that have been under-represented in the construction industry in the past – such as minorities and – and make sure that they have the proper WBE and MBE certifications in place before representing them to the world as such. Likewise, we inquire about the diversity of each subcontractor’s workforce and encourage them to fill our job sites with workers of a variety of ethnic and gender identities.
